[For ages 0-5] For plenty of interactive themes, stories, and action songs with props, Romp and Read will help get the wiggles out through a variety of early literacy activities.

[For ages 0-5] This fun participatory storytime for the whole family includes songs, fingerplays, stories and movement activities. Early literacy activities are emphasized. No registration is required.

[For ages 0-5] We now offer a second, identical session of Romp and Read on Fridays at 11 am! Help get the wiggles out with interactive themes, stories, and action songs followed by playtime. No need to register, we hope to see you soon!

[For ages 8 and up] Make and decorate a paper lantern in honor of Lunar New Year. Registration is required.

[For teens & adults] Need a gift for someone, or just want to get crafty? Make a decorative jar to organize/store your small treasures OR design a fancy votive for a tea light. All supplies are provided, just bring your imagination!

[For ages 5-12] In honor of the Winter Olympics, we will be conducting a simple science experiment to simulate a hockey puck on ice.

[For ages 5 - 12] Kids will design, build, and test their own paper airplanes while learning about simple aerodynamics through hands-on fun. No registration is required. 
 

[For adults]  "Grow your 2026 Culinary Garden" is a 4-part series created to help participants design and dream their way into a new gardening season. 

Session 3: Growing Roots & Fruit for the Kitchen

Writers of all types and levels are invited to bring their notebooks, laptops, or other writing implements and join us for an evening of writing together.

[For adults] Resident needle felting expert Donna Hamilton will demonstrate how to make some eggs as well as other “signs of spring”. Whether you're a beginner or have some needle felting experience, come spend some time with fellow crafters.

The Friends of the RCS Community Library meets monthly to discuss ways to advocate and support the Library and its services. New members are always welcome!
