[For adults] Maria Lagana is working at a struggling Hollywood studio in the 1940’s as World War II begins. The story follows Maria as she navigates studio politics, her complicated family history, and the arrival of European refugees, all while the studio produces propaganda films, forcing her to confront themes of fascism, identity, and the blurred lines between reality and illusion.
