Granny Squares Reading Blanket - [Teens and Adults] Readers and Crocheters contribute to our Color Our World Reading Recommendation Summer Display! This is a mash-up of all the things: books, crafts, art, and fundraising.
Read a great book you'd want to recommend to fellow readers? Crochet a 6-inch granny square in the colors of the book cover. We'll provide a selection of fun granny square pattern options. Then drop your square off at the library, fill out the book recommendation form, and leave the rest to us.
Don’t crochet? We’ve got you covered, too! Fill out a book recommendation form, and our Fiber Arts group members will crochet a square for you. The squares and recommendations will be displayed on our lobby art wall for the summer. Then they will be turned into a Reading Blanket by a local Fiber Artist for the Friends of the RCS Community Library to raffle off.
